I heard them calling my name, but I didn’t answer. I couldn’t do anything but stare at the girl in the window, and she stared right back at me. She had long wavy brown hair, and she was wearing a high collared white dress. It looked like a dress from an old movie. After staring at me for I don’t know how long, she removed her finger from her lips, and then reached out and touched the window with the palm of her hand. I blinked a few times, hoping I was just imagining it, but I wasn’t. She was still there, watching me. I shivered. Then, suddenly she was gone. She didn’t walk away, she vanished. I shivered again. My heart pounded in my chest. I couldn’t breathe. It felt like someone was squeezing me. I took a few short breaths, and blew them out quickly, but it wasn’t working. I couldn’t get my heart to stop racing. I bit my bottom lip really hard, it started to bleed. I could taste the blood, when I licked my lips, and it made me want to vomit. Suddenly I got really hot, and unzipped my jacket. Finally, I was able to take a few deep breaths. I reached under my shirt for my locket, hoping that just holding it would make me feel better. I panicked. It wasn’t there!
