Chapter Four
I walked over to the door that I assumed was the closet and opened it. “Wow, that’s a small closet,” I said peeking inside. Then I looked at the other door in my room.
“Oh, wow! I have two closets,” I walked up to the door and opened it. Then I quickly closed it and ran out of my room. “Mom!” I yelled from the top of the stairs. “The attic door is in my room,” I shouted. “Can we switch rooms?” I crossed my fingers and hoped she would say yes.
“There’s nothing to be afraid of,” she yelled back. “It’s only an attic.”
“But Mom, I won’t be able to sleep in there,” I bit my bottom lip. “Please!”
“I’ll get someone to put a lock on it Monday.”
“But what am I supposed to do about tonight, and tomorrow night?” my stomach started to hurt.
“You’ll be fine,” she said. “Now go and unpack.”
“I hate it here!” I stomped into my room.
What’s in the attic!!
